For new builds, conversions or renovations, cleaning is easier to plan when the client, site manager and trades work from the same area list and schedule.
Before commissioning
- Name the contracting party, on-site contact and person authorised to release areas or approve extra work.
- Share the construction schedule, sections to be released and known delays. A clear room or area list is helpful for phased handovers.
- List cleaning, site clearance, auxiliary support and specialist technical work separately in the scope.
During construction
- Flag new sources of dust, returning trades and access changes early. Agree how cleaned areas will be used afterward.
- Assign waste by material and responsibility. Containers, transport and disposal documentation are not automatically part of a cleaning order.
- Confirm changes to areas or tasks in writing before work starts, so handover expectations remain clear.
